Cookie Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Websites can also keep information in your browser's local storage. This page explains what Furniture Bazar (furniturebazar.co.uk) stores, why, and how you can control it, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.
Your choice
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing that needs your consent is stored until you click "Accept all". If you click "Reject non-essential", only strictly necessary storage is used. You can change your mind at any time:
Strictly necessary (always on)
These are needed for the shop to work, so they do not need consent.
| Name | Type | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| cart-storage, cartItems | Local storage | Remembers the items in your basket. | Until you empty your basket or clear your browser |
| Sign-in session | Local or session storage | Keeps you signed in to your account. Kept only for this browser session unless you choose to stay signed in. | Until you sign out (or close the browser) |
| fb_cookie_consent | Local storage | Remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask on every page. | Until you change it or clear your browser |
| Google reCAPTCHA (_GRECAPTCHA) | Cookie (google.com) | Protects our contact form from spam and abuse. Loaded only on the contact page. | Up to 6 months |
| Stripe and PayPal | Cookies (stripe.com, paypal.com) | Process your payment securely and prevent fraud. Set only when you pay by card or PayPal. | Set by the payment provider |
Analytics (only with your consent)
If you click "Accept all", we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (for example which pages are popular) so we can improve it. Google Analytics does not tell us who you are. Before you accept, Google tags run in a restricted mode that stores no cookies on your device.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells visits apart to count users. | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of your current visit. | 2 years |
Live chat
Our live chat window is provided by LiveChat. It uses its own storage to keep your conversation open as you move between pages. See the LiveChat privacy policy for details.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary storage, parts of the site (such as the basket or checkout) may not work. Withdrawing consent through the button above also removes the Google Analytics cookies from this site.
